Norwegian herStay, director Monica Emilie Herstad, was offered the Silver Prize at the international art festival Pohang Bada in South Korea, on August 7th, 2011.
The festival gave this year´s prizes to the best performances, hence to Norwegian Monica Emilie Herstad with her herStay performance Movers and shakers - Tangible channeling the existence of nature, beside the Korean Studio 365 with their performance Alice, which took the first prize. herStay consists of 6 members, who were all grateful and happy to be invited to perform 4 evenings at the prestigious festival´s main stage.
The Pohang Bada International Theater Festival offers 7 stages, with 32 different performances, within a diversity of genres, from all over the world. The festival is organised by the South Korean Cultural Ministry. herStay is co-financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norwegian Art Council, Fund for Performing Artists, and the International Ibsen Award Scholarship. The Pohang Bada International Theater Festival`s main sponsor is Posco (Pohang Iron and Steel Company).
