The Royal Norwegian Embassy and Innovation Norway is co-hosting a conference on CVC technology, "Experiences of - and Opportunities between - Norway and Korea"

Carbon Value Chain covers the technical, financial and political value chain of CO2 as a global climate gas. The specific elements include CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage); transport and utilisation of CO2; CO2 pricing (tax, markets, project financing); international carbon markets and trading schemes such as CDM/JI, EU ETS and the geopolitical negotiations of handling climate gases.

Both Korea and Norway have ambitious targets in the global CVC, from development and demonstration of CCS technologies, via establishment of carbon trading markets to taking active roles in establishing global solutions to the climate change challenge. The governments in both countries have aggressive national and global environmental targets.

This conference will offer an overview of recent developments and positions regarding the Carbon Capture and Storage in Norway and Korea, and aims at identifying and strengthening cooperation opportunities in technological and policy areas.

The event and reception hosted by the Norwegian ambassador will offer opportunities to meet with leading experts from Korea and Norway in these important topics.
