Saturday 27. of March at 8.30 PM (local time) the Royal Norwegian Embassy and the Ambassador’s residence – together with millions of people, iconic buildings and landmark in Asia, Europe and America - will participate in Earth Hour and turn off all lights for one hour.
Earth Hour is a global campaign to raise awareness about climate change issues and was arranged for the first time in Sydney 2007. Last year official buildings in 4000 cities in 88 countries all over the world stood in total darkness.
Earth Hour is organized by WWF and is a call to stand up, to take responsibility, to get involved and lead the way towards a sustainable future. The Embassy encourages everyone to support Earth Hour 2010.
