The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy visits Korean shipyards

Last updated: 26/10/2011 // Aiming to strengthen relations with Korean shipyards that have contracts on the Norwegian shelf.

This week, State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, Mr Per Rune Henriksen, is visiting the Korean shipyards of Samsung, Hyundai and Daewoo. A large number of Norwegian companies are suppliers to these yards and all three have major contracts with oil companies on the Norwegian shelf. 

Around 20 suppliers, under the management of Norwegian Gas and Oil Partners (INTSOK), are part of the Norwegian delegation. The Norwegian Embassy in Korea is represented by Chargé d'affairs a.i.  Mr Sigbjørn Tenfjord.

The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy wants to give more Norwegian companies the opportunity to showcase their products and expertise to the shipyards, so as to facilitate for increased future deliveries from the Norwegian supply industry.
