NBA Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of NBA Korea was held on Friday 11^th of February 2011, at Paradise Hotel in Busan. At this year’s meeting Axel Stang Lund received the official crediting as Honorary Consul from the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Apart from this, the agenda for the meeting was as following:

1. Establishment of Quorum

2. Annual Report Year 2010

3. Financial Statement 2010

4. Election of BoD Members & Auditor

5. Budget 2011

6. Future NBA activities in 2011

7. Information from the Embassy

8. Presentation on ‘How to get around Korea (practical information on daily life in Korea)’ by Ms. Tone Aanderaa Kiste

The annual report for Year 2010 reviewed and approved, and so was the financial statement and the next budget. The BoD members where elected, and the BoD now consist of:

1. Chairman:                  Mr. Steinar Forberg (EUKOR)
2. Vice Chairman:          Mr. Axel Stang Lund (DNV)                                                                            
3. BoD Member:           Mr. Didrik Tønseth (Ambassador) Mr. Reidar Grevskott (Innovation Norway) Mr. Kenneth Myrseth (Jotun)

In addition, Mr. Mats Steinnes has been temporarily appointed as auditor.

The latter half of the meeting was devoted to a presentation from Tone Anderaa Kiste, who spoke about the preoccupations and adjustments of a family moving to South-Korea. The members of NBA normally know the moving-experience from the perspective of the working-part, while Ms. Kiste gave a valuable insight in how the transition is felt from the perspective of the accompanying families.
